The KAGUYA  かぐや (SELENE) probe ended its scientific exploration of the moon with a controlled impact on the lunar surface. The crash, scheduled for 3:30 AM (Japan standard time) today ( June 11, 2009 (6:30 PM GMT on June 10, 2009), will occur in the shadow on the near side of the moon, at 63 degrees south latitude and 80 degrees east longitude. Nokia’s Power harvesting technology for cellphones!!

A cell phone that never needs recharging might sound too good to be true, but Nokia says it’s developing technology that could draw enough power from ambient radio waves to keep a cell-phone handset topped up.

If such technology is really developed in future then it will be very suitable for our country Nepal, where many sources of such EM radiations you get.  More then a dozen FM stations airing their signals in capital city kathmandu, BTS towers (Cellular Mobile, CDMA) every where, TV broadcasting and relay stations and other radiation sources. Nokia’s power harvesting technology will really god gift for power crisis country. Let’s See…….. 

रमाइलो ठट्टा

धेरै दिन भयो ब्लग अपडेट गर्न नसकेको, खोइ आफैलाई थाहा छैन किन हो ?  बिसन्चो पनि त छुइन, कामको थकानले हो भने पनि त्यती गाह्रो गर्या जस्तो पनि लाग्दैन खै किन किन ?

समय नपाएर हो, भनु भने हरेक साझ जसो यताउति छिमेकीको दैलो चिहाउन पछी पर्या छुइन, मूड  पनि हुनु पर्दो रैछ ब्लग लेख्न लाई । हिजो आज मूड ल्याउने भिटामिन को झोल खान बन्द (कम) गरेकोले हो कि जस्तो पनि लाग्दैछ, खै ठ्याक्कै भन्नै गाह्रो पो भो मलाई ।

फेरी जुन छिमेकिको दैलोमा चिहाए पनि खाली बन्द्, हडताल्, लूट्पाट को खबर मात्रै देख्दा सारै दिक्क लागेर आउछ भन्या । यसो कतै केहि छ कि भनेर यु-ट्युब को दैलोमा छिरेको थिए एउटा  रमाइलो भिडियो फेला पर्‍यो अनि त्यही साथी भाईहरु लाई पनि बाडौ भनेर मात्र……… पशुपती को जात्रा सिद्राको ब्यापार नै सही कमसेकम यसै बहना मा ब्लग अपडेट त भो हे हे हे……..

Love shaped watermelon in japan

Heart-shaped watermelons are just the latest twist on Japan’s love affair with the juicy green & red fruit. I’ve written about square watermelon (below) grown in special forms that make the fruit easier to pack, stack & store but these “lovely” melons turn that concept on its head while speaking to the heart.

The heart-shaped watermelons grown in Japan’s southernmost island of Kyushu by Mr. & Mrs. Hiroichi Kimura are anything but practical, but they don’t have to be. It took the Kimura’s three years to perfect their melons, which grow into fulsome heart shapes without the aid of special forms.Still a small scale venture, only 20 of the special melons were shipped to buyers this year and their rarity is reflected in the price: 15,750 yen each – that works out to $160 per melon!

म सधै जसो यु ट्युब मा नेपाल को  समाचारहरु हेर्ने गर्छु । आज पनि म खाली समाचार सुन्न मा मात्र ब्यस्त थिए, आज मैले खासै याद गरेको थिइन कि आज यु ट्युबको पर्दा अरु दिन को भन्दा भिन्न छ ।

समाचार सुनिसके पछी भएन अब एउटा फिलिम हेर्नु पर्‍यो भनेर कम्प्युटरको स्क्रीनमा हेरेको त अचम्म.   ……………     जुन मा क्लिक गरे पनि फन्ट र फोटो उल्टो मात्रै आउछ, कत्ती गर्दा पनि ठीक हुँदैन क्यारे ।

मेरो गृहनगरमा कर्फ्यु, प्रदर्शनकारीको गोलीवाट मृत्यु

अपडेट-  सरकारले थारूलगायत आदिवासी, जनजाति सबैलाई सम्पूर्ण मधेश एक प्रदेश अन्तर्गत  मधेसीमा सूचीकृत  गरेको विरोधमा थारू समुदायका संघसंस्थाले तराईका २२ जिल्लामा अनिश्चितकालीन बन्द तथा प्रदर्शन शुक्रबार पाँचौं दिन पनि जारी राखेका छन् । थारू समुदायको बन्दले हिंसात्मक रूप लिएपछि चितवनको रत्ननगर क्षेत्रमा बिहीबार र शुक्रबार भएको झडपमा परी मृत्यु हुनेको सन्ख्या तीन पुगेको  छ । मृत्यु हुनेमा एकजना सशस्त्र प्रहरी र दुईजना आन्दोलनकारी रहेका छन् ।

शुक्रबार दिउँसो १:३० बजे हतियारधारी एक समूहको खुकुरी प्रहारबाट गढीमाइगढ भण्डारामा कार्यरत सिपाही कुमार बुढाथोकीको मृत्यु भएको छ । यसअघि प्रहरीको गोली लागेका बछौली-३ का १९ वषर्ीय कमल चौधरी र शक्तिखोर-५ का १७ वषर्ीय विपीन खड्काको उपचारको क्रममा मृत्यु भएको थियो । चौधरीको भरतपुरमा र खड्काको उपचारको क्रममा काठमाडौँ लैजाँदै गर्दा मृत्यु भएको हो ।

जिल्ला प्रहरी कार्यालय चितवनका अनुसार कफ्र्युको समयमा ‘सर्च’मा हिँडिरहेको सशस्त्र प्रहरी टोलीका दुईजनालाई हतियारधारी समूहले खुकुरी प्रहार गरेको थियो । आक्रमणमा परी प्रहरी हवल्दार प्रकाश केसी भने घाइते भएको प्रहरीले जनाएको छ । घाइतेलाई उपचारार्थ हेलिकोप्टरबाट काठमाडौँ लगिएको छ ।

मेरो गृहनगर चितवनको टाँडीमा थारु समुदायले गरेको वन्द खुलाउने क्रममा गएराती प्रहरी र प्रदर्शनकारीविच झडप हुँदा प्रहरीले चलाएको गोली लागि एकजनाको मृत्यु भएको छ ।

मृत्यु हुनेमा पुर्वी चितवन वछौली गाविसका १९ वर्षीय कमल चौधरी रहेका छन् । उनको कोखामा गोली लागेको चितवन प्रहरीले जनाएको छ । चौधरीको शवलाई अहिले भरतपुर अस्पतालमा राखिएको छ ।
लगातार तीन दिनदेखि थारुले गरेको राजमार्ग वन्दले यात्रुहरुको जनजीवन अस्त व्यस्त भएपछि अवरुद्ध बाटो खुलाउने क्रममा प्रहरीले दर्जनौ अश्रु ग्यासका सेल प्रहार गर्नुका साथै हवाइ फायरिङ गरेको थियो ।

Dark Side of the Sun

Soon we may get the first ever glimpse of the dark side of the sun.

Well, no, there’s no actual dark side of a luminous ball of burning gas, but there is an effective dark side, as in, the side of the sun we can’t see at any given time.

Scientists aren’t content to get just half of the picture, so they’ve launched the STEREO (Solar Terrestrial Relations Observatories) mission, a pair of NASA spacecraft that will orbit the sun simultaneously to provide a complete view of all sides of the star at once.

“Then there will be no place to hide and we can see the entire sun for the first time,” STEREO project scientist Michael Kaiser of NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center told Wired.com.

The perfect spherical view will come on Feb. 6, 2011. Right now the satellites, which were launched in October 2006, are about 90 degrees apart, which allows a picture of about 270 degrees of the sun — the fullest view yet.
