Japan Wants to Build Second Generation (2G) Internet

It’s what Japan does best….improve on existing models, types, products, services.

If someone/s come up with an idea, Japan can often and usually does make it better…then mass produces it more efficiently.

Japan’s Internal Affairs and Communications Ministry wants $70 million to build an organization that will have businesses, academia and government working together to build a new technology for a new generation of network that will replace the Internet.

New MP4 Watch II

So you wish that your wristwatch could do much more than just tell the time? Perhaps the new MP4 Watch II could fit the bill, although I wouldn’t throw the iPod Video out just yet. It comes in 2 flavors – 2GB and 4GB, but only in one color which doesn’t help when you’re trying to differentiate the models. Not only does it support the most popular video and audio formats, the MP4 Watch II is also capable of recording voices, viewing photos, and going through e-books via its 1.8″ TFT LCD display. The resolution isn’t much to shout about though at 160 x 128 pixels. You can choose to view the time in digital or analog format, depending on your preference.
