Cathie Jung : World’s smallest waist woman
Cathie Jung has the world’s smallest waist.
No, it’s not a distorted picture – Cathie Jung’s tiny waist really does measure just 15in. But the super-thin 70-year-old insists there is no, ahem, corset for concern. Now, Juice (Bio Battery) will drive your gadgets

Sony Japan has just announced that its latest fuel cell battery that uses not ethanol or methanol this time, but glucose extracted from grape juice and sports drinks as its source of power. The 4-cell array was demonstrated to power speakers hooked up to a Network Walkman after being duly filled with a squirt of grape extract and a tiny fan, utilizing sugar content found in a Gatorade-type sports drink. The Bio Battery, as it is dubbed, is capable of generating world record up to 50mW of power.
I’m all for it, but I surely hope ants won’t start end up starting a colony in my gadgets.
Check out the video for yourself and the (Japanese) by Sony.

Body heat to power cellphones

Apparently sometime down the road in the future, body heat could be used to provide additional power to your cellphone – definitely beats looking for a power outlet when you need to connect that call desperately. Researchers from the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits in Germany have successfully developed new circuits that could potentially harness electricity from body heat that normally goes wasted, dissipating into thin air. Could this be the advent of battery-less cellphones? I don’t think so – not just yet, anyway, as you definitely won’t be able to generate that much electricity. Placing the handset below your laptop would fare much better in theory since we all know just how hot laptops get
